ZF Services UK appoints HL Smith Transmissions as Service Partner
ZF Services UK has appointed HL Smith Transmissions as a ZF Service Partner, expanding the support available to operators, fleets and workshops across the UK commercial vehicle market.
The partnership brings together ZF’s product and technical expertise with HL Smith’s remanufacturing capability and experience. It will strengthen access to genuine ZF remanufactured truck transmissions, alongside specialist diagnostics, technical support and repair solutions.
Strengthening UK truck support
HL Smith sees the agreement as an opportunity to build on its existing transmission offering and extend support for customers in the UK truck market. TraXon is a particular area of opportunity as the two businesses develop the partnership.

A platform for wider aftermarket support
ZF Services UK said the appointment will increase its service network capability as demand for support across its commercial vehicle portfolio grows. The companies also intend to explore further aftermarket opportunities beyond gearboxes, including steering and suspension systems.
