WAIglobal UK targets first award of 2015
WAIglobal UK has been shortlisted in the category of Large Business at the Chichester Observer and Gazette Business Awards, recognising the company’s extensive activity since its name change from Sovereign Rotating Machines at the start of 2015.
In the past three months, WAIglobal UK has played a key role in the set-up of a new WAIglobal European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division and new team to sell to the independent aftermarket in this region.
The company has also won new business – both in the UK and overseas with global players such as Temot – and launched a new no hassle warranty while at the same time adding hundreds of new part numbers to its ranges of wiper motors, window regulators and starters and alternators.
All winners will be announced at the exclusive black tie awards evening at The Hilton Avisford Park, Arundel on Friday 10 April. The evening will be hosted by BBC One Show reporter and Channel 5 presenter Nick Wallis.
The 2015 Observer & Gazette Business Awards recognises, rewards and celebrates all the successful businesses and professional individuals in the area. Judging is undertaken by a panel of judges representing the business community and the Chichester Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Richard Welland, Managing Director – EMEA IAM VP Global Marketing / WAIglobal UK Ltd, said: “It’s great to be recognised so early in the year for the positive effects we are having since our change to WAIglobal UK. It underlines a new beginning for the business and not just a name change but a fundamental step towards offering a greater range of products, services and support, designed to grow our customers’ sales.”
The winners of The Observer & Gazette Business Awards are automatically finalists in the Johnston Press South Business Awards held at The Grand Hotel in Brighton in October 2015.
