Mechanics give quick, safe and hassle-free puncture repair their professional seal of approval

An emergency repair in a can recommended by mechanics across the country has been given a design overhaul to help drivers better understand its benefits.

Tyreweld Emergency Repair, which reinflates tyres and seals the puncture temporarily, is the perfect boot accessory for drivers as it requires no tools or jacks, no wheel change, and is quick and safe to use.

It is popular with mechanics as the water-based foam doesn’t damage tyres and washes out of tyres easily after use – resulting in a hassle-free, mess-free repair in the garage.

Ian Dodsworth, Lyles of Newcastle, said: “We have some elderly customers who are not able to change a spare wheel. This provides a quick answer to their problem.”

Jonathan Fry, Hull-based Jonathan Fry Automotive, said: “I have recommended customers carry a can of Tyreweld for years and never had a complaint from a customer. It’s the only brand I’ll carry in my own car.”

Nick Jackman, Barking and Dagenham College, said: “This can be a messy job still but knowing the system will allow for us to fix the tyre after is a bonus, especially as we have just put a bottle in our rally car for emergencies.”

Leading UK aftermarket manufacturer, Holts, has redesigned its Tyreweld Emergency Puncture Repair packaging.

Following extensive trade and consumer research, new packaging, point-of-sale and marketing material has been designed to highlight to customers the benefits of the quick and easy puncture repair.

Holts has invested heavily in research to ensure packaging is optimised for end use and are clear on how they are targeting.

The new packaging includes simple instructions on how to use Tyreweld and clear advice on choosing the right size can for the tyre, alongside its ‘quick, easy and safe’ benefits and information about the twist and go valve, which is unique Holts design.

Claire Fenton at Holts Lloyd International said: “We’ve spent considerable time and budget on researching what customers want and are delighted with the clean, crisp and modern new design, which we believe will drive a new emotive connection with them.

“If drivers are armed with Tyreweld and experience a puncture, they can get to your garage quickly and safely.  The foam can be easily wiped away and will not cause any damage to the tyre – resulting in a straight-forward, hassle-free repair.”
