Martin Kemp to wow guests with headline DJ set at the IAAF Annual Awards Dinner 2026
Martin Kemp, one of the most recognisable names in 80s UK pop culture, will take to the decks for a special after-dinner DJ set on Thursday 3 December 2026 at The Vox, Resorts World Birmingham, for the IAAF Annual Awards Dinner.
Known for forming the famous 80s band Spandau Ballet, Kemp has gone on to have several top 20 hits and has built a very successful career in film and entertainment.
Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive, said, “Last year saw the introduction of a full DJ set for the first time, which proved a hugely popular addition to the evening. With more than 700 guests expected to attend this year’s Awards Dinner, we’re looking forward to building on that success and seeing the energy Martin Kemp will bring to The Vox with his 80s-inspired set.
“This year marks another step forward for the federation as the Conference and Awards dinner returns to Birmingham at The Vox. We’re looking forward to bringing the industry together for an evening that celebrates the independent aftermarket, with Kemp’s DJ set adding another great reason to attend.”
Kemp, alongside his career as a DJ, had a very successful acting career, starring alongside his brother Gary in the film ‘The Krays’, which was a huge success, playing the infamous Steve Owen in the BBC BAFTA Award-winning drama series EastEnders, and starring as Billy Flynn in the West End run of Chicago in 2018.
The event looks to offer guests another memorable experience, with writer and comedian Rob Beckett also booked to entertain guests.
