Motor Trader Awards launches Factor of the Year Award
Motor Trader will debut a new category at this year’s Motor Trader Awards highlighting the important work carried out by motor factors across the UK and is inviting members of the IAAF to enter.
The new Factor of the Year Award, sponsored by Unipart Autoparts, will acknowledge and reward the UK’s best motor factor. This new category recognises the key role played by factors in supplying franchised and independent car and van dealers and garages.
The category is open to all motor factors regardless of size and will include factor operations run by dealer groups.
Online entries are open until 15 May with the winner being announced at the Motor Trader Awards gala dinner on 8 July at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Judges will be looking to reward the business that excels in terms of how it addresses the specific needs of dealers and garages with a dependable supply of OE matching quality parts, high frequency deliveries and the effective use of customer marketing programmes to support their business.
Judges will also assess the provision of technical support, advice and training and the use of IT to improve parts identification.
Factor of the Year Criteria
- Open to all motor factors serving franchised or independent dealers
- Entrants can be standalone businesses, national chains or part of a dealer group
- Entrants must be able to demonstrate market leading levels of customer care
- Judges will look for evidence of fast order turnarounds and efficient delivery operations
- Entrants need to submit a supporting statement (500 words maximum) outlining why they should be considered for this award
