Automotive parts distributor, Midwest Motor Factors, owned by Arnold Clark, has won ‘Car Distributor of the Year 2015’ at the prestigious Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) Annual Awards on 17 December.

Midwest Motor Factors started in 1980 in Willenhall and following a period of growth added sites in Brownhills and West Bromwich. Today, the motor factor operates out of six branches across the West Midlands, with a head office in Bilston.

IAAF members were able to directly influence the results for the very first time as they voted for their preferred supplier or distributor via the new, updated IAAF website: www.IAAF.co.uk.

The voting process was simple as members were required to log into the website, click the link provided, and then follow the step-by-step guide before choosing the supplier or distributor of their choice. Each nominee was rated by a set of five criteria ranging from poor to excellent in 10 categories (suppliers could only vote for distributors and vice versa).

The winner was revealed at the IAAF’s annual awards dinner at the ICC in Birmingham which welcomed close to 600 aftermarket personnel. With more than 40 motor factors and suppliers contesting the awards, it is a great achievement for the motor factor and is reflective of the hard work it has carried out throughout the year.

Paul Yardley of Midwest Motor Factors said: “We are delighted to win this prestigious award and it is a huge honour to be recognised by such an established association as IAAF. The award is even more humbling as the votes were cast by those within the industry, celebrating our strong relationships and commitment to providing our customers with exceptional products and service.

“As ever, we’d like to dedicate the award to our team as their hard work and commitment to bringing high quality products to the aftermarket and the local area, as well as delivering first-class service to customers, is what has won this for Midwest Motor Factors. We are grateful to all those who voted for us and will continue supporting the IAAF wherever possible.”

The award reflects the company’s aim to provide its customers with high quality vehicle parts and tools. With its vast array of products, local customers can rely on Midwest to facilitate their tool or car part needs while receiving proven, first-rate customer service from its friendly and professional staff.

Investing heavily in the local area is a top priority for Midwest, and it regularly recruits local people and purchases products from local companies to ensure the West Midlands continues to thrive as a reputable area of business.
