Autoparts UK wins industry award for second year running
Autoparts UK has been named ‘Motor Factor of the Year’ at the respected (CAT) Awards.
Held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 8 February, The Car & Accessory Trader (CAT) awards – part of publishing giant, Haymarket Media Group that publishes leading consumer titles WhatCar? and AutoCar – rewards the most successful businesses in the industry, as voted for by members of the public and those within the independent automotive aftermarket.
This is the second year running that the distributor has won the award, after winning in the ‘Factor Chain of the Year’ category at the CAT Awards 2018.
The accolade recognises Autoparts UK’s position as one of the fastest growing car parts distributors, with 12 branches across the North of England and Scotland and is a reflection of its continued business investment, including its expanded 70,000 square foot distribution warehouse in Glasgow. Established over 20 years ago, it runs a fleet of more than 55 vans and employs 170 staff across its branches including Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Wigan, Carlisle, Falkirk, Kilmarnock, Inverness, Kirkaldy, Stoke and Huddersfield.
Craig McCracken, group factor manager said: “We are delighted to win this highly acclaimed industry award for the second year running. 2018 has been yet another busy year for the whole team and we’re delighted that our hard work has paid off. For us to again be acknowledged in this way by both the community and industry peers is extremely humbling and this is a boost for industry across the whole region.”
