ZF Aftermarket customers in the marine industry are benefitting from improved service performance, efficiency and cost reductions, due to a new partnership with Houghton International. The agreement enables ZF Aftermarket’s own gearbox repair, maintenance and overhaul capabilities to synergise with Houghton International’s in enabling ZF customers to gain full advantage from an enhanced service, all in one place, as a complete package offering.
Houghton International is strategically located on the River Tyne, to service the requirements of vessels in British or Norwegian waters experiencing a rotating machine fault such as a generator or motor issues.
The company provides a fast and efficient service and can mobilise specialist engineers within hours to support customer needs and provide a high-quality repair in the shortest possible timescale.
ZF is a worldwide leader in marine propulsion systems, supplying systems and components for all types of ships such as motor boats, sail boats, superyachts as well as commercial and government vessels.
ZF Services also operates a specialist marine team working alongside full partners and service partners to provide customers with parts and technical support, workshop repair and testing and, field diagnosis and repair.
