Direct Autoparts takes on all WAIglobal UK has to offer

Direct Autoparts has become a full-line distributor of the entire WAIglobal UK product range having added window regulators and wiper motors to its Barking-based warehouse.

Mark Bushnell, director of Direct Autoparts, said: “We stock the full WPS branded range of coils, leads, starter motors, alternators, wiper motors and window regulators and this approach has always served us well.  Customers want to know that you’ve got the brands and products on the shelf and that you can supply a quality part, consistently.”

WAIglobal UK, as an auto electrical specialist, launched the new range of wiper motors and window regulators in late 2014 and has been on an intensive programme of range development so far in 2015.

“The service from WAIglobal UK is excellent and they’re really backing the new products they supply with technical support, training and point-of-sale,” added Mark. “We won’t work with suppliers that aren’t easy to deal with.”

Mark went on to say that the parts distributor has received numerous enquiries for wiper motors and window regulators and is starting to see these translate into sales.

“Cheaper parts have had their day,” said Mark. “To meet the demand from garages for greater training and technical service, the cost of components has to be measured against the service and support the supplier brings. If we sell on price, we’ve got nowhere else to go other than cheaper and we don’t want that – our customers don’t want that.”
