WAI supplies PPE equipment
With personal protective equipment (PPE), WAIglobal UK is now supplying three products that will help people deal with day-to-day challenges, including hand sanitiser and two different types of face masks.
Steri-7, the hand sanitiser that WAI has introduced, provides proven protection for up to three hours from just one application. Fully compliant to the EU Regulation 98/8/CE standard, it kills up to 99.9% of all common bacteria and will not cause dryness unlike alcohol-based products.
Two face mask models are available from WAI, including a three-layer disposable mask (recommended for single shift) that is fully compliant, CE marked and sold in packets of ten.
There is also the KN95 mask that has a 95% particle filtration, is CE marked and is recommended to be used for up to 12 hours.
Richard Welland, WAIglobal UK managing director, said: “Over the past few weeks I have been watching the pandemic evolve and like us all have been disturbed by the lack of basic PPE equipment that is available. All of these products are necessary to keep us safe and well, so we have used our global supply chain to source the best quality items to help deal with the issues we are all facing.
“We are all facing unprecedented times and above all we need to stay safe and protect our nearest and dearest along with our staff and the communities we live in.”
WAI currently has Steri-7 Hand Rub in stock and is taking advance orders for masks, so that when they arrive in mid-April, they can be shipped directly to customers.
WAI has also teamed up with Virgin Orbit in the USA to convert WAI’s wiper motors into ventilator motors for immediate production and deployment to hospitals and patients in need.
As wiper motors are commonly available parts, WAI made the decision to find a quick solution to the USA’s current lack of supply of ventilators by making a simple ventilator with speed of deployment being the highest priority.
