Bognor Regis based WAIglobal UK raises hundreds of pounds for local charities in 2015
WAIglobal UK has raised hundreds of pounds for much needed charities in Bognor Regis and surrounding areas so far in 2015.
Previously trading as Sovereign Rotating Machines Ltd, WAIglobal UK encourages members of staff to nominate a charity and will then host events such a raffles, cake sales or sponsor upcoming marathons etc, with all monies raised going to that charity.
Fund raising activities are led by the company’s Chris Cane and examples of these include: £75 from a cake sale with proceeds donated to Chestnut Tree House. This is the only children’s hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions. Also, £85 was raised for the Cat and Rabbit Rescue Sidlesham and £73 was raised for Aldingbourne Trust.
Just recently, the business raised £70 for the Laburnham centre, an Age UK centre that helps people learn new skills and share current skills with like-minded people.
Richard Welland, Managing Director – EMEA IAM VP Global Marketing / WAIglobal UK Ltd said: “The effort from WAIglobal UK staff to raise much needed funds for these deserving charities is incredibly heart warming. As a business, we’re delighted to play whatever role we can in supporting charities and their good work.”
WAIglobal UK is also very active in the automotive industry, having played a key role in the set-up of a new WAIglobal European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division and new team to sell to the independent automotive aftermarket in this region.
The company has also won new business – both in the UK and overseas – and launched a new no hassle warranty while at the same time adding hundreds of new part numbers to its ranges of wiper motors, window regulators and starters and alternators.
