Scotland-based car parts distributor, Autoparts UK – part of Arnold Clark – , has been named ‘Factor Chain of the Year’ at the respected (CAT) Awards.

Held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 9 February, The Car & Accessory Trader (CAT) awards – part of publishing giant, Haymarket Media Group that publishes leading consumer titles WhatCar? and AutoCar – rewards the most successful businesses in the industry, as voted for by members of the public and those within the independent automotive aftermarket.

The accolade recognises Autoparts as one of the fastest growing car parts distributors, with 12 branches across Scotland and the North of England and is a reflection of its continued business investment, including its 70,000 sqft distribution warehouse. Established over 20 years ago, it sells 60,000 different parts and employs more than 100 staff.

Craig McCracken, group factor manager said: “We are delighted to win this highly sought-after award – this is a huge win for us and highlights the exceptional service the entire team delivers throughout the year. We would like to thank everyone in the community who took the time to vote for us and it’s humbling that our hard work has been acknowledged in this way.

“Winning the award is not just great recognition for our business, but also shines the spotlight on Scotland’s automotive industry.”

Greg Whitaker, CAT magazine editor, said: “We give hearty congratulations to the teams in the Autoparts UK branches for winning this Award, as it has shown steady growth in what can be regarded as a very competitive market.”
